Những chiếc xe lăn này do tổ chức Tình Thương California-USA tài trợ. Được sự cộng tác của cha xứ Thư Xá, thày chủ trì Chùa Biện, ban Caritas họ Thư Xá, quý anh chị tình nguyện ở Chùa Biện và sự cộng tác của các cấp chính quyền, công việc phân phát xe lăn tới những bệnh nhân đã rất thuận lợi và tốt đẹp. Niềm vui ánh lên trong từng ánh mắt, gương mặt của cả bệnh nhân lẫn những người thân trong gia đình họ. Những chiếc xe lăn tình thương như món quà Thiên Chúa ban tặng qua lòng hảo tâm của nhiều người, cho dù họ là lương hay giáo.

Khi xưa, Chúa Giêsu vẫn làm phép lạ cứu chữa người đau yếu tật nguyền. Ngày nay, Chúa vẫn tiếp tục làm phép lạ cho những người như thế qua tình thương của Ngài, qua các bác sĩ, qua tổ chức y tế và thiện nguyện, qua những người có lòng quảng đại, qua những người đã sẵn sàng hy sinh thời gian và sức khoẻ để phục vụ họ. Chính những công việc như vậy là liều thuốc và là nguồn an ủi rất lớn cho quý bệnh nhân. Tuy họ có yếu đau thân xác nhưng tâm hồn họ khoẻ mạnh và tôn trọng sự sống Chúa ban. Là người tín hữu, mỗi chúng ta lại càng ý thức hơn về việc bác ái. Vì Chúa đã đồng hoá chính mình với những bệnh nhân. Việc giúp đỡ, phục vụ và thăm viếng họ chính là chúng ta làm cho Chúa.(Mt 25, 36).

Yesterday, Monday of November 12, 2018, Organization of Caritas of Bac Ninh Diocese, Caritas of Viet Nam from Saigon, and some people of Organization of Love from California-USA, we went together to distribute 61 wheelchairs to those who are handicapped and old at two places: Chùa Biện, a Pagoda of Buddhism, and Họ Thư Xá, a Catholic Community. Both are in Yen Lac District-Vinh Phuc Province. With cooperation of local leaders and people such as Pastor of Thư Xá, Leader of Chùa Biện, Group of Caritas of Thư Xá Catholic Community, volunteers of Chùa Biện Pagoda, and social leaders from village to province, distributing the wheelchairs to handicapped and old people was so good and favourable. Faces of patients and their relatives had got very happy expression. Wheelchairs of love are gifts of God from generous people for them who are unlucky persons and different faith. Formerly, Jesus made a lot of miracles to heal patients. Now, God continues to heal patients through His love, doctors, organizations of health service and love, generous persons, hearts of sacrifice to serve. These spiritual services are the best medicines and comfort to all patients. As a result, patients are very happy and respect the life that God gives them though they are physical sickness and diseases. We are Catholic people, we should increase our consciousness to serve patients because God himself is to liken patients. When we help, serve, and visit them, and then we are helping, serving, and visiting God. (Mt 25:36)
