Caritas Hanoi Shares With Brothers and Sisters In Ha Nam Translation Area
On May 7, 2021 Caritas Hanoi donated 52 million VND to share with people affected by the epidemic in village 5 Dong Yen, Chan Ly commune, Ly Nhan district, Ha Nam province. The Covid-19 pandemic is having serious reprecussions all over the world. Many provinces and cities in Vietnam have had cases of covid-19. Ha Nam is one of the provinces with complicated outbreaks of community spread. Village 5 Dong Yen, Chan Ly commune, Ly Nhan district, Ha Nam province implemented social isolation on May 1, 2021. There are 320 households in the village with a total of 1,200 people. Many normal activities have become difficult due to the isolation requirements.
Promoting Clean Water and Hygiene in Catholic health Facilities
Access to clean water for drinking and washing is a matter of life and death in many parts of the world. Over 2.2 billion people in the world don’t have access to safe water and 4.4 billion don’t have adequate sanitation, even though this is a fundamental right. The effect of this on people’s lives and health is massive.
Caritas Ha Tinh: conduct examinations and distribution of medicines in Khe Ngang parish
Continuing a series of public health activities, on April 10, 2021 the Patient Ministries Subcommittee of Caritas of Ha Tinh Diocese cooperated with the Volunteer Group at Can Loc District General Hospital and Hong Linh Town General Hospital to conduct examinations and distribution of medicines in Khe Ngang parish (Phuc Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province). The delegation, which consisted of 8 doctors in addition to pharmacists and members of the Diocesan Caritas Committee, was chaired by Sister Maria Nguyen Thi Hien, Specialist of the Patient Ministries Subcommittee, and Doctor Nguyen Van Nhue, Specialist, First Class.
Caritas Hai Phong: Lenten charity with the elderly at the Nursing Home
In this year's Lenten Message, Pope Francis once again urged us to take advantage of the time of Lent to further our charitable activities. On March 20, 2021, the "sweet fragrance of charity" spread to the residents of the Hai Phong Nursing Home for Nurturing and Protection. The visit of thanksgiving and sharing with the elderly here was organized by the local group “ Gospel Family,” in collaboration with the Diocesan Caritas Office of Hai Phong.
